Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated 8 October 2026
Each tour, trek or stay on BookMingo is run by an independent operator, who sets its cancellation policy. That policy is shown on the listing and again before you confirm, so you know what you’ll get back before you pay. This page explains how cancellations and refunds work.
1. Cancelling a booking (travellers)
- Open the link in your booking confirmation (or find your booking at bookmingo.com/find). Where the operator allows online cancellation you'll see Cancel booking, with the refund amount shown before you confirm. Otherwise, ask the operator to cancel for you.
- The refund depends on how much notice you give, following the operator's policy for that booking. A common example: 100% back with 15 or more days' notice, 50% with 7–14 days, 25% with 3–6 days, and nothing with less than 3 days. Your booking shows the exact tiers that apply.
- Deposits or advance payments are refunded by the same rules unless the listing clearly says they're non-refundable.
- Reservations you haven't paid for can be cancelled at no cost, and lapse automatically if not paid by the hold time.
- No-shows and early departures aren't refunded unless the operator agrees.
2. Changing dates
For stays, you can ask to move your dates from your booking page. The operator approves or declines; if approved, any price difference is added to or taken off your balance. For tours, contact the operator to move to another departure. Changes depend on availability and the operator’s policy.
3. If the operator cancels or changes your trip
If an operator cancels a departure or stay, or makes a significant change you don’t accept, you’re entitled to a full refund of what you paid, or to move to another date if you prefer. The same applies if a departure is cancelled for safety or weather reasons.
4. How and when refunds are paid
- The operator issues the refund. Online payments are refunded through Razorpay to your original payment method; payments made directly to the operator (UPI, bank transfer, cash) are refunded by the operator in the same way.
- Once the operator issues a refund, it usually reaches you in 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.
- BookMingo doesn't take any cut of refunds. Payment gateway charges may be deducted only if the operator's policy says so.
5. If something goes wrong
If you haven’t received a refund you’re owed, or you disagree with the amount, contact the operator first. If that doesn’t resolve it within 7 days, write to us with your booking reference at contact@bookmingo.com or +91 78920 35457. We’ll look at the booking record and follow up with the operator.
6. BookMingo subscriptions (operators)
- You can cancel your subscription any time from the app. You keep access until the end of the billing period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- The free trial costs nothing, and you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends.
- Subscription fees already paid aren't refunded for unused time. If we've charged you in error or twice, we'll refund the extra in full within 7 working days of you telling us.
