Terms of Service

Last updated 8 October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses bookmingo.com and the BookMingo app: tour, trek and homestay businesses who list with us (operators) and the people who book with them (travellers). By creating an account, making a booking or otherwise using BookMingo, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Who we are

BookMingo is an online booking platform run as a sole proprietorship (“BookMingo”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at contact@bookmingo.com or +91 78920 35457.

2. What BookMingo does, and doesn't do

BookMingo provides software. Operators use it to publish tours, treks and stays, take bookings, collect traveller details and manage their calendar. Travellers use it to book with those operators.

  • The operator provides the trip or stay. When a traveller books, the contract for the tour, trek or stay is between the traveller and that operator. BookMingo is not a travel agent, tour operator or hotel, and is not a party to that contract.
  • Operators set their own terms: itinerary, price, inclusions, house rules, age or fitness requirements, waivers, and their cancellation and refund policy. These are shown on each listing and before you confirm a booking.
  • Operators are responsible for delivering what they list, for the accuracy of their listings, for traveller safety, and for holding any licences, permits, registrations, insurance and tax registrations their business needs.

We check operators’ business and bank details before enabling some features, but we don’t inspect or guarantee tours, treks or properties.

3. For travellers

  • You don't need an account to book. Give accurate details for yourself and everyone in your booking, and make sure you're allowed to share their details with us and the operator.
  • Read the listing, the operator's cancellation policy and any waiver before you confirm. By confirming, you accept the operator's terms for that booking.
  • If you reserve without paying, the operator may hold your seat or room only until the time shown. Unpaid holds can lapse automatically.
  • To change or cancel, use the link in your booking confirmation or contact the operator. Refunds follow the operator's policy - see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • We send booking updates, trip reminders and one-time codes to the phone number you give us, on WhatsApp, on the operator's behalf.
  • Problems with the tour or stay itself (quality, safety, what was included) should first be raised with the operator. If you can't resolve it, contact us and we'll help where we can.

4. For operators

  • You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business you register. Keep your account details accurate and your password private; you're responsible for activity under your account and your team members' accounts.
  • Your listings must be truthful and lawful: real photos, correct prices including taxes where applicable, and a clear cancellation policy. Don't list anything you can't legally provide.
  • You're responsible for the traveller data you collect through BookMingo. Use it only to run your bookings and as the law allows, and don't ask travellers for more than you need.
  • Honour the bookings you accept and the refunds your own policy promises. Tell travellers promptly if a departure or stay is changed or cancelled, and if you cancel, refund what they paid in full or offer another date they accept.
  • You're responsible for your own taxes, including GST on your services, and for issuing any invoices your customers are entitled to.
  • BookMingo sends you booking alerts (such as new bookings, cancellations and traveller replies) and account codes, such as password-reset codes, on WhatsApp at your business phone number. You can turn individual alerts off in the app.

5. Subscription fees

  • Operators pay the subscription and any per-booking fee shown on our pricing page or in the app when they subscribe. New operators get a free trial of the length shown at signup.
  • Fees are billed in advance for each billing period and are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
  • You can cancel any time from the app; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Fees already paid aren't refunded for unused time, except where we've charged you in error or the law requires it.
  • We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. Changes apply from your next billing period.
  • Travellers don't pay BookMingo anything to book.

6. Payments between travellers and operators

Travellers pay operators either directly (for example by UPI, bank transfer or cash, recorded by the operator in BookMingo) or online, where the operator offers it. Online payments are processed by Razorpay, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, under its own terms. BookMingo never sees or stores card numbers, UPI PINs or net-banking passwords.

Settlement timings, failed payments and chargebacks are handled under Razorpay’s processes. We’ll help you trace a payment on any booking.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use BookMingo for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, or to list services you don't provide;
  • upload content you don't have the right to use, or that is offensive, defamatory or infringes anyone's rights;
  • send spam or use traveller contact details for anything other than their booking;
  • try to access other accounts or data, probe or overload our systems, or copy the service by scraping or automated means;
  • resell or sublicense BookMingo without our written permission.

We may remove content, pause listings or suspend accounts that break these terms or put travellers at risk. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.

8. Your content and our service

Operators own the listings, photos and text they upload. You give us permission to host, display and share that content so we can run your booking pages and promote BookMingo (for example, showing a listing as an example on our website). You can withdraw that promotional permission any time by writing to us.

The BookMingo software, name, logo and design belong to us. These terms don’t give you any right to them beyond using the service.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep BookMingo running and your data safe, but we can’t promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Features that depend on others - WhatsApp messages, email, online payments, calendar sync with Airbnb or Booking.com - may be delayed or unavailable when those services are. We may improve, change or retire features over time and will give notice of significant changes.

10. Liability

  • BookMingo is not responsible for the tours, treks or stays that operators provide, or for anything that happens during them. Claims about the trip or stay itself are between the traveller and the operator.
  • To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost bookings) arising from your use of BookMingo.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to an operator for any claim is limited to the fees that operator paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that can't be excluded by contract.

Operators agree to compensate BookMingo for claims brought against us because of their listings, services or breach of these terms.

11. Closing your account

Operators can close their account any time by writing to us. We’ll keep records we’re required to keep by law (such as booking and payment records) and delete or anonymise the rest as described in our Privacy Policy. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please contact us first - most things can be sorted out quickly. This does not affect any right you have to approach a consumer commission.

13. Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you can raise any complaint about BookMingo or content on it with our Grievance Officer:

Grievance Officer, BookMingo
Email: contact@bookmingo.com
Phone / WhatsApp: +91 78920 35457

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as BookMingo grows. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let operators know by email or in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use BookMingo after that means you accept the new terms.
